Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla says Inter Milan have pulled off a coup with a deal for Hakan Calhanoglu.
Pedulla believes the former AC Milan midfielder will be ideal for new Inter coach Simone Inzaghi's system.
“The timing was perfect. Beppe Marotta, with the purchase of Calhanoglu, made a quality and talented player available to Inzaghi," said Pedulla.
“At Milan he played a bit in all the roles: As an attacking winger under Gattuso, then as a midfielder and finally as an attacking midfielder under Pioli in the 4-2-3-1.
“A key position in the 3-5-2 formation which Inzaghi usually employs is that of the mezzala, similar to the role played by Luis Alberto at Lazio."
