Pedro Neto excited to be reunited with Francisco Trincao at Wolves

Pedro Neto is delighted to be reunited with Francisco Trincao at Wolves.

Trincao has joined Wolves on-loan from Barcelona, having previously played with Neto as a junior at Vianense and Braga.

Trincao signed for Wolves last week on a season-long loan with the option to buy next June. The winger joined Barca last year from Braga, having signed in January 2020 before arriving over the summer.

After a difficult first season in Spain - and given Barca's delicate finances - it was agreed to allow Trincao to make the move to Molineux.

And with this deal, it means boyhood friends Trincao and Neto are reunited.

"I met Trincão in Vianense, in our city. We've been friends for a long time. I also played with him at Sp. Braga," said Neto, quoted by Maisfutebol.

"He is a great friend and I hope to see him soon. I believe that Trincao will help us a lot with the quality he has. I like to play with him. I'm looking forward to seeing him because he's a very good person and a good player."

Portugal international Neto also took the opportunity to tell Wolves fans what to expect.

“He has a very good vision of the game and is strong in one against one. He's an exciting player to watch," added Neto.

Neto is recovering from a broken knee cap injury suffered in April against Fulham. The setback saw Neto miss this summer's Euro 2020 tournament with Portugal. At the time of the injury, it was stated Neto would need six months of recovery and rehab.
