Pedri remains determined to secure a pay-rise at Barcelona.
The midfielder's current deal runs to 2022, with the option for another two years, and his agents have sought a salary improvement in talks with president Joan Laporta.
For the moment, Laporta has refused, but Pedri and his camp aren't giving up.
Okdiario's chief football pundit Eduardo Inda said on El Chiringuito: "There is trouble because Pedri wants to earn more, logically, and Barcelona does not give him what he asks for.
"Pedri asks to earn the same as Ansu Fati - and Ansu earns more than what is offered by the club to Pedri."
Interestingly, Pedri shares the same agent as Manchester City winger Ferran Torres.
