Morten Gamst Pedersen will see his current deal with Blackburn Rovers expire at the end of the 2009/10 campaign. The Norway international had talks regarding an extension in August, but there has been no progress since then.
The 28-year-old remains calm, though, and claims he is happy with the way things are going for him at Ewood Park.
"There will come a time when I have to consider the situation," he told Dagbladet.
"But Blackburn are a fantastic club, I will always say that."
Pedersen only made the bench for Rovers' 3-0 defeat at Fulham on Wednesday, but he is determined to force his way back into the fold over the coming weeks.
"Obviously it's not nice to be out of the side. I want to play," he added.
"I will do my best and try to convince the coach that I should play."
