Pedersen: I rejected many offers to pen Blackburn deal

Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen has revealed he turned down several offers to sign a new deal this summer.

Pedersen, who joined Rovers from Tromso in 2004, is now eagerly anticipating the new campaign ahead at Ewood Park.

He said on Sky Sports News: "I got offers from other clubs, it is not like I try to hide away, but Blackburn have always been my No.1.

"At one stage I almost lost my focus a little bit of what I wanted to do, so I just put that to the side and tried to play my football, and it worked well for me.

"You can think the grass is always greener, but I am happy to be here and am looking forward."
