Reading defender Alex Pearce is being tipped as a future club captain.

Royals owner Anton Zingarevich is optimistic Pearce will keep his word and sign a new deal.

Zingarevich said: "He's come through our Academy. That's the spirit of the club. You can buy all the players from around the world, but it's really important to have players like Alex and keep them as a big part of this club."
