England great Stuart Pearce has revealed West Ham's owners blocked him from returning to the club as part of David Moyes' backroom team.
Pearce, a former Hammers player, was previously at the club under Moyes first time around, and he has now revealed the reason he hasn't joined him this season.
Psycho told talkSPORT: "No, it won't happen. I think the owners felt I was a little bit critical of the regime when we left last time and put the block on it.
"I didn't think [I was too outspoken], but listen - they make the decisions, they own the club, I respect that. I also respect the fact that they're prepared to pick the phone up to David having turned round after a seven-month tenure deciding not to keep him on.
"They were humble enough to pick the phone up and say, 'look, will you come back in?' I'm just delighted to see David back in work, and in the Premier League where I think his talents deserve."
