Former Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko insists his old club can win the Champions League in the near future.

Spurs reached the final last season, but have since sacked Mauricio Pochettino and are struggling for a top four finish under new manager Jose Mourinho.

"It remains only to wait. I don't know what will happen in the coming years. Of course there is faith. I am sure that in a few years Tottenham will definitely win the Champions League and Premier League," Pavlyuchenko told Okko Sport.

"They will come to this anyway. How many years have they invested in a team?

"If they want someone seriously, they can afford to buy any cool football player."
