Paulo Sousa regrets leaving Swansea

Former Swansea City boss Paulo Sousa admits he regrets walking out on the club.

Sousa walked out on the Swans for Leicester City in 2010, paving the way for Brendan Rodgers' successful time as boss which saw the Northern Irishman lead the club into the Premier League.

"With hindsight, yes, of course I made a mistake in leaving Swansea," Sousa said in an interview with the Gusrian.

"But at the time I felt that moving to Leicester offered me the best opportunity for my career. We all make mistakes in life, but it is what you do next that counts.

"After things didn't work out at Leicester I had a break from the game, watched matches and studied styles of play, tactics and continued my coaching education. I think the break helped me."
