Parma president Krause delighted with Buffon, Maresca arrivals

Parma president Kyle Krause is proud to have brought Gigi Buffon back to the club.

Buffon has returned to Parma after leaving Juventus this summer.

“It was tough to be relegated, but my family and I have a long-term project for Parma," Krause told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We are building a strong team, we have made some strategic changes within the club and the target is to keep improving, becoming a point of reference in the long run and stabilizing ourselves at the top of Italian football."

Former Manchester City U23 boss Enzo Maresca has been appointed Parma's new head coach.

“We were looking for a coach with his qualities. We like his playing style and his desire to emerge. I told him to remain himself and, of course, to take us back to Serie A. We trust him and his staff."
