Parma have made contact with QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt.
The club's new owners are attempting to strengthen their relegation-haunted squad this month.
Parma have sounded out Taarabt and QPR about a loan arrangement to the end of the season. However, the midfielder is cool on the idea.
Taarabt is eager to return to Italy, having spent last season on-loan with AC Milan.
However, he is shooting for higher than a relegation battle with Parma.
