Park Ji-sung is eager to open new contract talks with Manchester United.
The Telegraph says Park is set for contract talks at Manchester United at the start of next season with the South Korean midfielder expected to follow Michael Owen in extending his stay at Old Trafford.
He said: "Manchester United is an important club and I am happy if I'm seen as an important part of the club. In football anything can happen, but I've been here six years and I like this club."
Park's emergence as a key figure in Sir Alex Ferguson's team this season was demonstrated by his starting role in the Champions League final defeat against Barcelona on Saturday.
