Real Madrid vice-president Miguel Pardeza has refused to rule out buying in the January market.
There's calls from fans and pundits for Real to stiffen their defence in midseason and Pardeza says: "You never know, but in principle we will not strengthen.
"I do not believe in the January transfer window because the talent is scarce, expensive and uncertain."
Pardeza also insisted they weren't building their entire project around Cristiano Ronaldo.
"That would be foolhardy," he added.
