Pardew confident Ziyech won't play for Chelsea this season

ADO Den Haag coach Alan Pardew is confident Hakim Ziyech won't play for Chelsea this season.

With the Eredivisie abandoned due to coronavirus concerns, the Ajax midfielder will become a Chelsea player on July 1 with the season still to be completed in England.

But Pardew told the Daily Mail: "There will have to be a ruling for players like him because he can go into Chelsea's group, but I'm guessing he won't be registered to play.

"These are difficult questions for chairmen, chief executives, footballers and agents.

"Whether or not anybody thinks the Dutch league has made the right decision, I don't think that's what the Premier League will do."
