Juventus chief Fabio Paratici has revealed Cristiano Ronaldo long had plans to move to the Bianconeri.
Paratici says the idea of a deal sparked after Juve's defeat to Real last season in the Champions League.
He recalled in Gazzetta dello Sport: "When we played in Madrid, (agent Jorge) Mendes came, as always happens in the days of the Champions League. I said to him: 'Cristiano made incredible goals'.
"He replied: 'You will not believe it, but Cristiano, if he changes, wants to come to Juve, remember that it's less strange than you might think, so we'll talk about it...
"'Remember the other thing, you will see that Ronaldo moves from Madrid. I'll tell you clearly: the player wants to come only to Juve. He played in Manchester United who is the biggest English team, then in Real Madrid, he only goes to historic teams. In Italy he has never played, he wants to win the Italian title too'."
