Pirlo is under huge pressure after a poor start to the season.
But Pancaro told TMW: "I make a premise: I know Andrea very well, we spent two years at Milan full of satisfaction and successes, and he is a boy who is impossible not to love for what he is - intelligent. I wish him to repeat what he did as a player if not more, but it is normal that being in the first experience he needs to be supported. This is a job where experience counts: the club must support him in case of bad moments, even more than they would do with another coach at that level.
"From what we have seen so far he has clear ideas, which I like: he tries to dominate the game with a purposeful football, and I had no doubts about this because we had already spoken and I knew what his vision of football was. There is a need for patience and to allow some errors."
