Panathinaikos are pushing Newcastle United to release Mehdi Abeid.
The Evening Chronicle says Panathinaikos will this week attempt to buy Abeid for NOTHING with an offer to give Newcastle United 50 per cent of any future sale of the midfielder.
The 21-year-old Algerian is due in Newcastle on Tuesday to talk to the club about him moving to Greece on a permanent basis.
