Palmeiras have expressed interest in Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez.
Local reporter Jorge Nicola has revealed Palmeiras, the current Brazilian Serie A champions, were interested in a move for the former Udinese and Barcelona man.
However, he added that the possibility of Sanchez joining the club has been "completely ruled out" by United, who were seemingly unhappy with the terms on offer from Palmeiras, who were taken aback by just how much the forward earns.
It is claimed that Sanchez makes "six times the salary" of the best paid player at Palmeiras, with the Brazilian club unable to offer United a deal that didn't include the Premier League side still paying the vast majority of his wages.
