Palermo set to sell Pastore

Palermo have confirmed they will sell star playmaker Javier Pastore at the end of the season.

Club vice-president Guglielmo Micciche admitted that the 21-year old Argentine will only be kept at the club for another 12 months, opening the door for cashed-up Manchester City to make a move in the future.

"I would enjoy Pastore at Palermo this season, but certainly in football there are deals that are tough to ignore," he told Sky Sports.

"But Javier will certainly play this year with us. In the coming years, we'll see.

"Last summer we received some great offers, but we refused them. The intention is to keep the player for another year."
