Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is happy they were rejected by Delio Rossi and Claudio Ranieri.
Zamparini sacked Stefano Pioli on September 1 and was rejected by both his former Coach Rossi and new Inter boss Ranieri, so promoted Devis Mangia from the youth team.
"Thank goodness!" he told Telecolor. "It was a huge stroke of luck. As far as Ranieri was concerned, coming to Palermo was a step down. That was almost true of Rossi as well, because he has ambitions of a big club.
"I was about to hire Giuseppe Sannino, so it'll be a tough game against his Siena on Sunday. Both Coaches are good and this is harder than facing Milan."
