Crystal Palace must cough up big to land former Tottenham defender Anthony Gardner.
The London Evening Standard says Palace have made a final offer to former Tottenham and England central defender Gardner, who was on loan with them last season, worth around £8,000-a-week plus a £1,000 appearance bonus.
Gardner, linked with West Ham and Birmingham after their relegation from the Premier League, is believed to be holding out for a £9,000-a-week basic.
Palace are also still hopeful of landing out of contract Wales international striker Robert Earnshaw but he has indicated he would like a return to his first club Cardiff. Palace boss Dougie Freedman held talks with Earnshaw recently and is awaiting the Welshman's decision.
