Gosport FC pair Finn Walsh-Smith and Dylan Holgate are trialling with Bournemouth, with the view to permanent moves.

Centre-back Walsh-Smith was part of Gosport's first-team squad last season, aged 17, in the Southern League Premier Division and has played 16 times this campaign.

Crystal Palace, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Chesterfield have all been linked with a move for Walsh-Smith, but Cherries appear to be leading the chase.

Striker Holgate is yet to feature for the first team.

The Portsmouth News says both players have spent a couple of weeks training with Cherries, also featuring in behind-closed-doors matches.

A decision on the pair is expected soon.
