Crystal Palace are moving to secure Joel Ward to a new deal.

The Sunday Mirror says talks have been dragging on for months between the Eagles and the highly-rated defender.

Ward, who still has 15 months remaining on his current deal, has already rejected two contract extensions.

But with Alan Pardew's side's Premier League spot looking safe, the south Londoners have returned to the table with improved terms.
