Crystal Palace defender Ryan Inniss was delighted to be part of Port Vale's win at Walsall.
The 6ft 5ins central defender arrived on a month's loan from Crystal Palace on Thursday.
Inniss told The Sentinel: "We got the clean sheet, Popey got his head on one and we got the win, so I am ecstatic.
"It is always good to be a part of things, but also to be part of a performance like that. I had only been here two days, so I am still picking up the characters here.
"This wasn't the prettiest of games, but I am in a team that works hard and I am someone who likes to work hard so I think it will be a great fit."
