Palace closing permanent deal for Southampton winger Puncheon

Crystal Palace are finalising a permanent deal for Southampton winger Jason Puncheon.

The London Evening Standard says Premier League rules dictate that clubs can only name two loan players in their 25-man squad and England Under-21 Tom Ince's reported imminent loan arrival at Selhurst Park has forced Tony Pulis - who already has Cameron Jerome and Puncheon on temporary deals - to wrap up a permanent deal for the latter.

The Saints are understood to be waiting for Palace to sign-off on the deal worth a reported £1.75million.
