Crystal Palace caretaker boss Keith Millen believes Tony Pulis would be a good choice for the top job.
Millen agreed with the view that an "experienced" Premier League campaigner is needed to save the south Londoners from relegation.
"I think a new manager coming in will lay down his rules," said Millen. "And if the new group doesn't buy into what he's saying, then as a new manager, you move them aside.
"I think experience will be important.
"I know Tony. He knows a good player.... because he signed me for Bristol City!
"He knows how to win matches in the Premier League. He reminds me of Sam Allardyce - he knows what teams to put out to win with not necessarily the best of the group of players in the league. And he is very honest and hard-working."
