Palace boss Warnock confirms plans to boost attack in January market

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock sys he wants to boost his attack in January.

Young forward Dwight Gayle is the side's top scorer with five goals in eight games.

"The chairman and I have been talking this week about increasing the squad, and we will definitely do that in January," Warnock told talkSPORT.

"But we're not going to sign people for the sake of it.

"We're looking at a few strikes from abroad and, no disrespect to Palace, but the top strikers in Europe go to the top clubs and we won't be able to spend money to compete with them.

"We've got decent players as it is, it's a good group here.

"Fraizer Campbell was super today, Marouane Chamakh is chomping at the bit to play and then we've got players like Dwight Gayle and Kevin Doyle, they're good strikers these lads.

"So you've got to look at these players abroad and think, 'are they better than what we've already got?'

"I'd very much like to increase the squad but I'm not going to panic and spend money for the sake of it."
