Palace boosted as youngsters sign new deal

Crystal Palace midfielders Sean Scannell and Jonathan Williams have agreed new contracts at Selhurst Park, reports BBC Sport. Scannell, 22, who has scored 12 goals in 108 games for the Eagles, has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal.

Fellow academy product Williams, 17, who made his debut this season, has penned a three-and-a-half-year.

"It is not all about getting players in but keeping our youngsters that we already have," manager Dougie Freedman told the club's official website.
