Gianluca Pagliuca admits he could have joined Inter Milan last season.

The veteran goalkeeper remains hopeful of landing a Serie A contract and revealed: "There was a contact last year when Francesco Toldo was contacted by some Spanish clubs.

"Then in the end he remained and I have not heard anything else."
