Pagliuca: Conte shadow looms over Inter Milan - and Spalletti

Inter Milan hero Gianluca Pagliuca can see Antonio Conte replacing coach Luciano Spalletti - at the end of the season.

The former Chelsea manager is being linked with Spalletti's job this week.

Pagliuca told Radio Anch'io Lo Sport: "I'm out of work, trying not to listen to TV broadcasts and to read fewer newspapers, but they need results and matches, Spalletti has a lot of experience and he will get out of it - winning the championship is impossible, but Europe is still there.

"We are in February. Going in disarray would be ugly. There is still a good ranking position. A great coach and a champion must get out of these periods. Of course the future of the coach is not rosy. I think at the end of the year he will succeed. I hope so, I would like to say that he made good results, for next year he still has a contract but Conte's shadow is there.

"Juventus and Chelsea, I think he is the right coach. I do not say that I hope he goes to coach Inter, I hope Spalletti remains as long as possible. But Conte could certainly do for Inter."
