Australian midfielder Erik Paartalu has recently signed a new two year deal with Scottish First Division club Greenock Morton.

Paartalu, who turned 22 just days ago, agreed to terms prior to catching a flight back home to Sydney and the deal will see him stay at the Cappielow until May 2010.

On the club's official website, Chairman Douglas Rae made comment of the re-signing, "It is great that Erik will be with us at Cappielow over the next couple of years. To have a talent like Erik available to us is so encouraging for everyone connected with the Club and shows, by engaging him, that we aim to make a big impact next season in the First Division."
