Ozil urges Arsenal to buy Draxler

Mesut Ozil is urging Arsenal to swoop for unwanted Wolfsburg striker Julian Draxler.

The Germany playmaker has pleaded with bosses to snap up the Wolfsburg star, who looks set to leave the Bundesliga side in January, says RMC Sport.

That could mean Ozil is close to making significant progress on his own contract talks if he is suggesting to the club what players would make good signings, reports The Sun.

Ozil and left winger Draxler, 23, were part of the same Germany side that won the World Cup in 2014.

And it is clear that former Real Madrid star Ozil thinks Draxler has the quality to fit into Arsenal's style of play and adapt to the Premier League.

But the Gunners will have to fight off Paris Saint-Germain and Italy champions Juventus for Draxler, who is valued at £30million.
