Former Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil's reply to a fan regarding a question has raised eyebrows on social media.

Ozil, who played for Real, Arsenal, and other top clubs during a glittering career, was asked by a fan about playing with Cristiano Ronaldo.

While Ozil and Ronaldo had a good relationship on the pitch, the German chose to make a joke at Ronaldo's expense.

He responded: “Ask him, he played with me," before smirking and walking away.

Ozil and Ronaldo spent three years at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium club before the former moved on to Arsenal.

The two won La Liga and the Copa del Rey during those years with Real.
