Mesut Ozil has declared his preparing for the new season after returning from his Arsenal exile.

The German made his return to football in Saturday's friendly loss to Aston Villa.

It was the first time Ozil had played for the Gunners since before the Premier League restart.

Posting on his Twitter page on Sunday, the 31-year-old posted a picture of him facing Villa accompanied with the caption: “Season prep is on".
