The agent of Mesut Ozil expects him to stay with Arsenal next season.
The former Germany international has just over a year to run on his current contract. While agent Erkut Sogut says there's no movement regarding his terms, Ozil is preparing to play on with the Gunners next season.
Sogut was reacting to talk of interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce, where Ozil has long been linked with a move away from Arsenal.
But the player's agent has intimated he expects little developments - that is, until Ozil's contract reaches it's final months next season.
Speaking to Bein Sport via Fanatik, Sogut declared: “Mesut has a one-year contract. There will be no change in this regard.
"So what happens next, time will show. Mesut will be 32 years old and will have a few more years in his career."
Indeed, asked whether Fenerbahce could feature in the future for Ozil, Sogut was tightlipped.
He added: "Mesut and his family will make a decision. It will be the best of all. I cannot speak about Mesut and Fenerbahçe because I have no right to speak on this matter according to the principle of confidentiality."
Ozil has seen a turn of fortune at Arsenal this season since the appointment of manager Mikel Arteta. Under the former Manchester City assistant coach, Ozil has started all 10 Premier League games Arteta has been in charge.
