Owners issue rallying call to West Ham fans over dreadful start to campaign

West Ham owners David Gold and David Sullivan have written a message to the club's fans after they lost their fourth successive league match on Sunday.

The Hammers are 18th in the Premier League after six games.

The owners said that the team has been hampered by injuries and "key decisions going against them".

They said in a statement: "The facts are there for everyone to see. We know we are letting in too many goals and not scoring enough, but be assured we will sort the problems out.

"But we are not going to make excuses and know that Slaven Bilic and his team will be working even harder on the training ground this week to get things right.

"We will turn our season around."
