Liverpool legend Michael Owen feels they can kickstart their season with a Champions League victory over Rangers.
Owen also believes a confidence-boosting win in both Gers games can get the Reds' domestic campaign on the rails.
He said: “It's been a surprise how Liverpool have started, and they are not playing well enough to justify any more points than they have.
“The 9-0 win over Bournemouth probably papered over a few cracks.
“I still think there's a lot more to come from Liverpool — but you can't go double figures in points behind at this stage of the season.
“If they lose to Rangers — with Arsenal and Man City up next in the Prem — then you start looking at their season and thinking, 'Wow, what can they salvage from this now?'."
