Former Southampton striker Pablo Osvaldo is backing fellow Argentine Gonzalo Higuain for success at Chelsea.

Juventus striker Higuain is quitting his loan with AC Milan to join the Blues.

Osvaldo told Sky Italia: "Higuain will have evaluated the situation. A champion, but if the team does not support you, you can not give the contribution that you give when this happens.

"He is happy with (Maurizio) Sarri, who knows how to get the best out of the Argentinian attacker. He could even try to persuade him to stay."

Higuain is due in London today for a Chelsea medical.
