Everton legend Leon Osman has explained that Leicester City star Jamie Vardy would be a good signing for Liverpool.

Liverpool have sealed qualification into the Champions League with a fourth placed finish this season and the Reds are looking to strengthen their squad over the summer in order to be able to deal with the additional rigours of European football.

Bringing in a new striker will be one of the main priorities for manager Jurgen Klopp and ex-Everton star Leon Osman believes that Leicester City attacker Jamie Vardy could prove to be a good signing for Liverpool.

Osman said on BBC Radio 5 Live: "He does like the mobile striker. I'm looking at who he can possibly go for. He likes the mobile, he likes to be able to chase the ball down. But he's missing a centre-forward.

"I think someone like Jamie Vardy might work for Liverpool. He would chase round like the way they like to press and he also likes to play on the shoulders. He makes clever runs."
