Former Everton captain Leon Osman always expected teammate Mikel Arteta to enter management.

Arteta took charge of Arsenal before Christmas.

Osman told GentingBet: "Mikel Arteta always came across as someone who would enter management.

"His manner around the dressing room, the training ground, his professionalism off the field, and his attention to details, even as a player on the field, were impressive.

"You felt that he was going to go down that route and then to be linking up with one of the top managers, Pep Guardiola, for a few seasons, it was a simple passage for him to go on to become a manager.

"From what I'm hearing from people around him, he's been very impressive in his short time at Arsenal, in his first job as a manager, and they have a really high expectations for him moving forward."
