Leon Osman is happy to see Everton teammate Jose Baxter impressing on-loan at Tranmere Rovers.
The Billinge born player turned out for Carlisle United and Derby County en-route to convincing Everton he was good enough to be a regular.
It's a path 19-year-old Baxter is currently following, after the Litherland teenager's loan move to Tranmere Rovers was extended until January yesterday, and Osman believes he will eventually reap the benefits.
"Credit to Jose," he told the Liverpool Echo. "I spoke to him the other night and told him I think he should stay there an extra month and get as much football as he could under his belt.
"That's only going to benefit him, playing in front of 1,000 passionate fans every weekend, playing first team football, and scoring a few goals as he has can only be a good thing.
"I encouraged him and told him to keep going."
