Osman: Everton becoming a target for other clubs

Everton midfielder Leon Osman believes the Premier League is getting harder. A 1-1 draw with Stoke on Sunday, in which Osman scored, brought the Blues' five-match winning streak to an end.

"I think every game in the Premier League is a winnable game now, the way things are," he told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"It's not a given you're going to win, you need to work hard. Stoke were a very determined side and played well."

Osman admitted Stoke made it hard for them in their quest to make it six straight wins.

"They came to Goodison and set their stall out and made sure they were determined not to get beat and they proved very difficult to break down," said Osman.

"We scored one goal, possibly could have scored another couple but it's disappointing we couldn't win."

The 28 year old said his 55th minute equaliser against the Potters was something he had been trying to pull off throughout the game.

"I cut in a couple of minutes before and mis-hit it, it seemed to bobble up as I hit it," he added.

"I was hoping I'd get another opportunity to put that right."
