Osasuna earned a hard-fought 2-0 win over Alaves on Saturday at the Estadio de Mendizorroza.
With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Alaves were looking forward to meeting again, following a previous defeat to Valencia. Osasuna were beaten 4-1 in the previous match against Valencia.
Los Rojillos started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from David Garcia at the 22 minute mark. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Roberto Torres, 29 minutes in. The score at half time was 0-2. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 2-0.
