Osasuna defeat Rayo Vallecano via late Manu goal

Osasuna defeated Rayo Vallecano 1-0 on Saturday at the Estadio El Sadar.

Both Osasuna and Rayo arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Osasuna were looking to continue their run, following a 3-2 victory against Mallorca. Rayo were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Cádiz and Athletic Bilbao.

After an uneventful first half, Los Rojillos applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Manu Sanchez just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-0.

After today's result, Osasuna and Rayo currently occupy 5th and 6th spots in the table, with 14 points and 13 points respectively after 8 matches.
