Origi thrilled to reward Klopp faith with Liverpool treble

Liverpool youngster Divock Origi was delighted to repay the faith put in him by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool put in a stunning comeback by securing a 6-1 victory over Southampton at the St. Mary's Stadium in the League Cup Quarter Final on Wednesday night and the star of the show for the Reds was young Belgian Origi, who helped himself to a fine hat-trick.

Origi was understandably very happy with his performance but the striker was even more satisfied at being able to repay Klopp's faith, after he was handed a surprise start on the night by the German.

"It's really special for us because now we have qualified for the semi-final and as a team performance it was very strong," Origi told Sky Sports.

"I think for me also it was special because coming in as young boy in England is never easy and now I've been able to show my qualities and I'm very happy.

"I think I've worked very hard and I have the support of everybody, so today I'm glad that the coach gave me the confidence and I could reward him with a hat-trick.

"We showed a great mentality as a team, we fight very hard and press high, and we have quality everywhere."
