Origi eager to take next Liverpool chance as Reds prepare for Sion

Liverpool forward Divock Origi says he is determined to prove himself to manager Jurgen Klopp with another strong showing for the Reds when they take on FC Sion in the Europa League on Thursday.

Origi scored a hat-trick in the Merseyside club's 6-1 League Cup victory over Southampton last week, but was relegated to the bench for the 2-0 Premier League loss to Newcastle on Sunday.

The 20-year-old Belgian said he is determined to showcase his goal-scoring ability once again if given the opportunity to do so against Sion.

"It will be a new opportunity to prove myself, so I will be ready if the coach needs me," Origi said.

"The most important thing is to enjoy my game and try to learn from every moment I get. If I do this, I hope everything will go okay.

"As a striker, it's always important to be effective and score goals. The end product was there in my last game and I am happy for this.

"I hope I can continue in a good moment and in these next games, I am excited for the team and everybody. I will try to give my all and enjoy my game."
