​Optus to broadcast Socceroos in Conmebol Copa America

Australian telecommunications company Optus has secured live broadcast rights to every game from this year's Conmebol Copa America, as the Socceroos take part in South American soccer's men's national team tournament, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The deal marks the latest live national team soccer acquisition for Optus Sport, the company's dedicated sports over-the-top (OTT) service which recently surpassed 825,000 subscribers, joining the Uefa Euro 2020 tournament on the off-season schedule.

Due to take place in Argentina and Colombia from 13th June to 13th July, the 2020 Copa America will also feature Qatar as part of an expanded 16-team format.

The Socceroos line up alongside Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia and Uruguay in Group A at the tournament, with the Australian national team's first match scheduled for 14th June.
