Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has again warned his players rotations will be necessary this season.
He said: "Any player worth his salt wants to play and wants to play pretty regularly.
"Certainly in recent years the big squads are very necessary because you are playing a lot of football.
"You are going to have to change things around a little bit. It didn't seem to be a big problem maybe 15 or 20 years ago.
"But nowadays you have to have the squad. That in itself will cause a problem or two because all the fine players want to play every week.
"If you have a system like Manchester United, where it has worked consistently, then people accept those consequences. It is a little bit different at other clubs."
