Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill wants his players to avoid visiting Birmingham's nightspots.
The Sunday Mirror says O'Neill has delivered a warning to his entire Aston Villa squad about going out in Birmingham after fining John Carew.
Villa chief O'Neill disciplined Norwegian striker Carew, 29, after the star was spotted in a strip club the night before they played Ajax in the UEFA Cup.
Carew has been docked a week's wages of £52,500 for breaking a curfew to visit the club.
O'Neill, fearing punters may try to cash-in with tales about Villa's international stars, has warned his whole squad to keep a low profile and avoid trendy nightspots.
