On-loan Grujic focused solely on Liverpool preparation

On-loan Marko Grujic remains motivated to play for Liverpool.

The Serbian midfielder joined Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan this summer after impressing with Cardiff City in the second half of the 2017/18 campaign.

And speaking to Goal, the 22-year-old said he was working hard in Germany in order to prepare for his return to Anfield.

"That hasn't changed," he says. "I would love to one day be a Liverpool player. That is why I have gone on loan, to prepare my body and my mind for the highest level, and we all know that the highest level is clubs like Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid.

"My dream and my ambition is to be part of Liverpool going forward, hopefully next season and beyond, but I know I have to work hard and deliver on the pitch with Hertha this season first."

Serbian football scout Goran Milosaljevic knows Grujic well from his time with Red Star Belgrade.

And speaking recently in an interview TribalFootball.com, Milosaljevic said Germany was perfect for Grujic's development.
